Hi, everyone. Do you happen to know about the latest ways to cure ED? Of course, the treatment usually depends on the seeds of disease. And if it is depression that induces impotence, there is a chance to get rid of two problems with the help of ketamine, all at once.
I’ll try to explain everything to you further. I know what a hot-button issue erectile dysfunction is. I really care about it a lot. That’s why I’ve made my own research of the available info on the Internet. Here is what I find really useful…
Psychological Causes of ED
Unfortunately, no one of us, guys, is immune from psychological impotence. Almost every representative of the stronger sex encounters the problems of a sexual nature. But not everyone is able to overcome the insidious disease without help.
Psychological erectile dysfunction is therefore dangerous that its underlying causes are hiding in the man’s brain. So, it’s not so easy to cure with the help of ED pills. What are the reasons?
Living the hectic life of modern metropolis, a modern young man is often depressed, and stressed out. All of the troubles at work, combined with disputes and scandals at home – that is a sort of unnerving experience, leading to unexpected effects. Even the marks of the beloved child at school can start a dangerous process. It’s not really fun! You know what I mean…
So, as you can see these are the factors, causing psychological impotence of men. Of course, there are plenty of other reasons for that. You name it… As a result, the whole atmosphere of intimacy may become inconvenient for a man.
Take Care of Your Mental Health!
We all have different tastes, habits, and inclinations. These may also be the causes of psychological erectile dysfunction. Moreover, some people are afraid of unexpected pregnancy, or the risk of infection with HIV, or other sexually transmitted diseases. Use condoms for your protection!
There is no need to become obsessed! The feeling of excessive anxiety will only cause harm to your sex life, and overall health as well.
It’s not so easy to detect, diagnose, and treat all of these psychological issues, inducing ED. Most of them require therapy, patience, and time.
The doctors usually analyze the sexual life of their patients. That is the most efficient way to diagnose the psychological causes of impotence. Your doctor will help you find the proper treatment for you to enjoy your sex life again. I really hope you will flush it as soon as possible!
Antidepressant Side Effects
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors are used to treat depression for over half a century. They are the most common type of antidepressants. Taking these drugs, people try to defeat mental illness and its consequences. It’s obvious that like any other medicines, antidepressants have side effects.
You can read the information that the manufacturers give in order to increase the sales. As you know, all the new kinds of psychotropic drugs appear every day. The effects have been studied, but are not well understood.
Most patients, and even doctors, don’t know about all of the possible drug’s side effects. I’d like to enumerate some of them:
- poor concentration;
- reduced sexual desire, or erectile dysfunction;
- and a number of other unpleasant symptoms.
Of course, if you’re lucky, you might not experience any of the side effects. Or vice versa – it depends on different aspects. And it’s totally individual.
How Antidepressants Affect Your Sex Drive
Medical studies, conducted in 2012, have shown that almost all psychotropic drugs affect libido. According to the study, several patients were taking antidepressants for a long time. As a result, they were diagnosed erectile dysfunction, regardless of the drug name.
It is really important to understand that self-medication can be disastrous, so you should never take antidepressants without medical approval. Many doctors take into account the negative impact of drugs on the body, choosing the most appropriate treatment for every patient individually.
It should be noted that antidepressants don’t produce immediate effects, they work over time. Over 5-7 days you may start having erectile problems. As a result, many men suffer from the advanced stage of ED. It’s a classic catch twenty two situation – you won’t have good erections till you’re depressed. It doesn’t seem to be the solution, does it?
One day I came across a really hot stuff – an experimental treatment of impotence, using ketamine! It was rather interesting for me to learn about that. How does ketamine work? Can it cure or induce ED?
Killer Who Becomes Healer…
Ketamine is a synthetic drug and psychoactive substance. It is a white crystalline powder, soluble in alcohol, water, fats. It has analgesic, and sedative effect. Besides, it doesn’t accumulate in the body.
The drug belongs to the group of medicines for general anesthesia. It easily penetrates through the blood-brain barrier. So, it’s used in surgery for the induction and maintenance of a state of unconsciousness, especially in cases of emergency surgery with its ability to preserve independent lung ventilation.
Ketamine is used:
- when carrying out medical procedures, not requiring muscle fixation;
- when transporting burn patients;
- for people in traumatic shock;
- in the treatment of the pain syndrome;
- for patients with significant blood loss.
It is used by dentists, otolaryngologists, gynecologists to perform small surgical interventions, requiring fast-acting anesthesia for short periods (up to 3 hours).
As you may guess, drug addicts also use ketamine. It can be snorted. This way, it is considered to be less dangerous to achieve the effect with a relatively low dose of psychedelic.
The drug is available as a pill, having stronger effect. And at the same time, it is more dangerous. Ketamine may be taken intramuscularly. This way, it produces an intense psychedelic experience.
As for the intravenous administration, ketamine should be taken in clinical use only. It is really dangerous. Why is that? I’ll explain… A change of consciousness sometimes occurs faster than a person has time to remove the needle from the vein. So, when administered intravenously, the danger to get a lethal dose increases.
Well, that certainly raises a red flag with me!!!
Rat Model of Ketamine Administration
I was doing my own research to learn more about ketamine. And then I came across some other facts. I want to let you know about them, too.
There was an investigation conducted by a group of scientists, exploring the effects of long-term ketamine administration on erectile function. They studied erectile response, as well as other changes in nitric oxide synthase production.
The results showed the toxic effects of ketamine, deteriorating erectile function of rats. They discovered the loss of smooth muscle cells in erectile tissue. Over 3 months, the intracavernosal pressure reduced in treated rats significantly.
It has been proven that repeated use of ketamine has an impact on the central nervous system, cardiovascular, and urinary system. The main thing is that, it affects the whole erectile physiology of rats.
Ketamine – the Miracle Antidepressant Drug of the Future
In this world of contradictions, doctors believe that ketamine is the drug of the next generation for depression treatment.
Of course, it’s probably not the first thing you would expect to get your mental health back. Would you change your mind if you make sure that it’s really effective?
In 2012, there started a sort of experimental treatment of severe clinical depression. And the response rate of ketamine was just amazing! 75% of patients have found relief from the common symptoms. They experienced the unbelievable effect within hours. While taking other medication may take weeks or even months to help. The current studies have shown phenomenal results. Ketamine has become a revelation!
A course of low-doses ketamine relieves the patients’ symptoms, even in cases of severe depression that is resistant to standard therapy. Experts from Oxford University conducted a clinical study. It was the first UK study of its kind.
The results have proven its effectiveness. Besides, there was no cognitive dysfunction and persistent dissociative effect in patients, treated with ketamine.
The UK Study in More Detail
It is known that ketamine, a psychoactive and anesthetic substance, can have antidepressant effects on the body, lasting a few hours, by inhibiting NMDA receptors. But usually it is not used as an antidepressant because of its side effects, such as hallucinations, and splitting of consciousness (dissociative disorder).
A group of researches under the supervision of a consultant psychiatrist, Rupert McShane, made a clinical study. The main purpose was to test the safety and effectiveness of ketamine injections at low doses. First and foremost, scientists wanted to determine whether it would cause cognitive problems of patients.
The study involved 28 patients with severe resistant depression, regularly receiving electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). This method is practically the only one to help these patients, but it can lead to memory loss. So, ketamine is theoretically considered to be an alternative treatment.
Study participants within three weeks received 3 or 6 intravenous infusions of ketamine (0.5 milligram per kilogram of body weight). The apparent antidepressant effect was mainly observed after the second infusion. 29% of patients reported that the severity of depression symptoms declined by half, 3 days after the end of the course. The effect lasted from 25 days to 8 months; with an average period of 2-3 months.
It was found that a course of intravenous low-dose ketamine injections does not cause cognitive dysfunctions, or other side effects. As for dissociative disorders, the majority of study participants felt a similar effect of ketamine only during infusion. It was short-term. Besides, it did not affect their further condition.
Currently, 45 patients have been made more than 400 injections of ketamine. A group of scientists has come to the conclusion that 9 people (20% of patients) might periodically need to continue treatment with ketamine in the future.
Ketamine is a Win-Win Solution to Cure Depression and ED
To cut a long story short, ketamine is a promising new antidepressant. Getting rid of depression, we forget about erectile dysfunction. It makes sense, doesn’t it?
If a man suffers from depression induced ED, it seems difficult to find the solution. It is like a vicious circle – you can’t resolve one problem, as it creates the new one, leading back to the original situation. But, there is great news! It is possible to kill two birds with one stone.
All you need to do is find the solution to treat your depression, and your ED will be cured as well. Today, ketamine could be the best solution for you.
